Sometimes, the best things happen when you least expect them. Matt & Christine were produce vendors at a local farmer's market. A coffee vendor was needed, and since both of them love a good coffee, they decided to fill that spot! To their surprise, it was a hit! After a busy fall season, the time came for this experiment to have its own identity - it was then that Hallowed Grounds Coffee Co. was born!

Fast forward a couple years, we have now partnered with Thyme Kitchen & Catering (who also started their family business at the same farmer's market!) and opened our shop in Merchantville, NJ! We are open Tuesday-Sunday 6:30-3pm. We offer an extensive drink menu, as well as rotating sweet treats.

In 2025, we expanded to our second location! We now have a full cafe of our own in Washington Twp., NJ open daily 7-3pm. This cafe focuses heavily on a farm-to-table experience, working closely with local farms to prepare everything fresh. Our bread, bakery items, sauces, dressings, even our ketchup are all made daily in house. We avoid using seed oils, cooking primarily with EVOO, beef tallow, avocado oil, and grass-fed butter. Everything we do here is aimed at providing the highest quality food, supporting local farms, business, and families.
